I am no longer teaching this course but will leave the blog up as an example for those browsing the Internet. The purpose of this blog is to support and be an example for the online course IMT 662 "Educational Applications of Computers for Teaching." This course is offered by the Instructional Media Technology program in the College of Education at Missouri State University in Springfield.
Pages
Gadgets and the Welcome
This is a test of the Gadget for "Text." If this is placed at the top of the blog, it should stay in that location. This is a good way to post your Welcome statement and have it stay in place instead of floating to the bottom of your list of posts. You may rearrange the location of these gadgets on your blog page.
Instructions follow:
Go to the Layout tab in your blog. Click on "Add a Gadget" in the box below your title. This opens a new window with a list of Gadget options. Scroll down to "Text" and click on it. When the "Configure Text" window opens fill in as desired. "Save" and check your results.
To change the look of this element once it is created, go to Layout-Fonts and Colors. Choose the element you wish to edit and then select the color or adjust the size up or down.
Note: To left align text, see the blog posting below.
